Don't we all need a break from the city's noise and chaos? Sometimes we find modern spaces that beckon us to go slow, to relax and just experience calmness. I was lucky enough to witness this when I shot the brand new showroom of Lexus Manila located at The Fort. Who would have thought that a structure composed of futuristic lines and forms can induce a feeling of calm? And what about the cars? Exquisite down to the very last detail.
The Lexus Manila showroom was designed by Yuji Hirata.
Here are some highlights.

Love and Commitment
It's been quite a while since my last post. I've been quite busy with work (although I'm not complaining!) and life has been full and a bit fast paced for us during the past couple of months.
So for my first post for 2009 I'd like to share some of the memorable and special moments I was able to capture with my camera. These were taken in the latter part of '08 and the beginning of the new year.

The Process
Got a kick out of joining a poetry writing contest sponsored by Ford. Cool! I won!
As we grow old life gets complicated
It's not fun anymore so we get frustrated
Material things seem to be the key
Hoping these will make us happy
Worse, we realize it doesn't
It's back to square one
We search for what is fun
We then try to escape from life's redundancy
Try something new, something refreshing
We then go back to the basics, nature, family
The real that matters
Escape is essential in this realization
It's not the road blocks we should focus on
It's the process of escaping

The luxury of travel and discovery
I recently came back from a trip to Thailand. Part work and part vacation. I've been planning to take a much needed break for such a long time now, so this booking's timing was just perfect.
I was able to move and play around with my camera.
Discovering a new place and snapping images just for myself was both refreshing and liberating.
Take a moment and enjoy these images. I hope they inspire you to discover new places.
